Christian HELP is devoted to preventing homelessness by helping people find jobs. From entry level to executive, job seekers are given individual attention through on-site employment counseling, resume assistance, career coaching and an array of resources. Our Central Florida Employment Council Division hosts 6 major job fairs a year, as well as an online job board. In 28 years, Christian HELP has connected over 130,000 people with a job. In addition to employment assistance, we offer a food pantry to our clients so they don’t have to spend money on groceries, but can use the funds they have for paying essential bills.

Our mission is to serve the community in Jesus’ name through a community food pantry and other community outreach efforts. The pantry is open Wednesdays, 11 AM to 1 PM. It is located at St. Richard’s Episcopal Church in Winter Park (see location below). The pantry is set up as a small market to provide choice to clients and includes refrigerators and a freezer to increase the amount of fresh and healthy food options.
To be a neighborhood grocery store that offers nutritious food at affordable prices for ALICE families in a manner that is sustainable and reproducible.
The ALICE population of Central Florida. ALICE is an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are families who are above the federal poverty level but struggle to make ends meet. According to the Heart of Florida, United Way 2020 report, they make up 24% of the population of Seminole County, and 47% of all Central Florida families.
These are families who do not want the hand out that comes with patronizing a food pantry, but also cannot afford to shop at a for-profit supermarket. They are families who are struggling to make ends meet and may be one missed paycheck away from serious financial hardship.
