Our Member Share Grocery Program is a dignified food and household assistance program where you can personally select the nutritious food items your family needs. Here’s how it works: Qualified Families who are living in the 200% or below Federal Poverty Level must fill out an application. Upon qualification, they receive a free Member Card. Once they are given a card, they can select any food or household product they may need for their households. This provides the basic needs, the variety and the nutritious food needed for them and their families. Our Program Members contribute a nominal handling fee per item, to cover costs of picking up donations. This contribution gives them dignity and empowerment to engage in the life changing transformational programs we offer at UP. Any proceeds from those contributions are directed back into the support of facilitating our life changing programs.
The Success Training Employment Program (STEP) is a workforce development program dedicated to enhancing job-readiness skills.
The Crisis Navigation provides participants the opportunity to reach their goals by completing a step on their personal care plan (such as meeting with a substance abuse counselor or obtaining a driver’s license). Along the way participants can receive food vouchers, bus passes or gas cards as needed.
